Update on My Mom, Sandra

Some of you may know and some may not so I thought I would post an update on my mom, Sandra Glasgow. A couple of weeks ago, my mom went in to the OBGYN doctor as she noticed her breast changes shapes. The doctor sent her to get a mammogram. To make a long story short, the mammogram lead to an ultrasound and the ultrasound lead to a biopsy. The biopsy lead to an MRI and CT scan. Yesterday she went back to the doctor to get the final results from all her tests and scan. As of yesterday, the doctors has diagnosed her with invasive lobular carcinoma a form of breast cancer. Currently, the doctors are saying that is contained to one breast; however, the scans did show another lump in her other breast that is taking the same shape and form as the "diagnosed breast cancer lump". She will be meeting with an oncologist tomorrow to discuss treatments. The thought course of treatment at this time is chemo followed up with surgery to remove the diagnosed cancer.
